Lake Taupo
Rock 'n' River is a rafting operator on the Tongariro River. We supply great value for Education Groups aged 13 years and older, to raft through a beautifully scenic volcanic gorge, with over 60 technical rapids. Clean clear water flows from the Sacred Mountains of the Central Plateau, through native forest and pumice layered cliffs. Allow 4 hours.
For 10 to 12 year olds, Rock 'n' River provides rafting on a beautiful stretch of the lower Tongariro River, young students will enjoy paddling over forty Grade 1 and 2 rapids. Allow 3.5 hours.
